Terms and Conditions

Last updated: May 23, 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of DevHunt, the online hiring platform operated by [DevHunt — registered company name and address] ("DevHunt", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using the platform you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

These Terms work together with our Privacy Policy, our Information Clause for contractors, our Digital Services Act notice, and our personal-data-processing overview.

1. About DevHunt

DevHunt is an online platform that connects technology professionals ("Candidates") with companies and their representatives ("Company Representatives") for the purpose of direct hiring.

DevHunt acts as an intermediary only. We are not an employer, a staffing agency, or a party to any employment or service contract formed between a Candidate and a company through the platform. All hiring decisions are made solely by the companies.

2. Accounts and Registration

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use DevHunt.
  • A separate account is required for each role. Candidate and Company Representative functionality cannot be combined on a single account — if you act in both capacities, you must register separately.
  • Company Representatives must register with a valid corporate email address. We may verify company accounts before granting full access.
  • You may authenticate with email and password, or via Google, GitHub, or LinkedIn.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
  • You may not create an account on behalf of another person without their consent, or use automated means to register.

3. Services

3.1 For Candidates

Candidates may create a profile, search and filter vacancies, receive AI Match Scores, save and hide vacancies, apply to roles, and communicate with hiring teams through the built-in chat. All Candidate features are free of charge.

Candidates control the visibility of their profile and contact details. A Candidate's personal contact information is not disclosed to a Company Representative until the Candidate chooses to share it.

3.2 For Company Representatives

Company Representatives may publish vacancies, search and save Candidate profiles, manage applications across a shared team workspace, add private notes and tags, and communicate with Candidates through the built-in chat. Company Representative access to paid features depends on an active subscription as described in Section 4.

4. Subscriptions, Fees and Payment

  • Company Representative access to paid features is provided on a flat subscription basis. We do not charge a commission or success fee on hires, and we do not take a percentage of any salary.
  • Subscription plans, their features, and prices are described on our Pricing page. Billing and payments are processed in euro (EUR) through our payment provider (Stripe).
  • Salary figures displayed on vacancies and profiles are shown for informational purposes in US dollars (USD); this display currency is independent of the billing currency.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically for the chosen period unless canceled before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription from your company billing settings.
  • We may change plans or prices; changes do not affect a billing period already paid for, and we will give reasonable advance notice of material changes.

5. Acceptable Use and Content

You agree to use DevHunt only for legitimate hiring activity and to communicate respectfully and professionally. In particular, you must not:

  • Post false, misleading, discriminatory, or unlawful content, or vacancies that are not genuine.
  • Post a vacancy without a salary range, or content of a sexual, hateful, or harassing nature.
  • Contact Candidates for purposes unrelated to a posted vacancy, or harvest data using bots, scraping, or other automated tools.
  • Share your account, attempt to bypass the platform's privacy controls, or circumvent fees.

Rules for prohibited content, our moderation practices, and how to report illegal content are set out in our Digital Services Act notice.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law, in particular the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

When a Candidate applies to a vacancy or shares their profile, the company becomes an independent controller of the personal data it receives and is responsible for fulfilling its own obligations to inform the Candidate.

7. Geographic Restrictions

DevHunt is not available to individuals whose declared country of residence is subject to applicable restrictions (currently the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus). Where a profile declares such a country of residence, the associated account and its data are deleted.

8. Intellectual Property

The platform, its layout, and its content (excluding user-submitted content) are protected by intellectual-property rights and remain the property of DevHunt or its licensors. By posting content, you grant DevHunt a non-exclusive license to host, display, and process that content to the extent necessary to provide the Service.

9. Disclaimers and Liability

The platform is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that a vacancy will receive applications, that a Candidate will be contacted or hired, or that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DevHunt is not liable for the conduct of users, for hiring decisions, or for indirect or consequential losses.

10. Suspension and Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your settings or by contacting us. We may warn, suspend, or terminate an account that violates these Terms or applicable law. Deleting your account removes your personal data as set out in our Privacy Policy — immediately for candidates — subject to records we are required to retain by law.

11. Complaints

If you believe a service was not provided as agreed, or that your rights have been infringed, contact us at privacy@devhunt.io. We will review every complaint diligently and respond without undue delay.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms for valid reasons, such as changes to the platform or to applicable law. We will notify users of material changes in advance. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law and Contact

These Terms are governed by the law of the EU member state in which DevHunt is established. Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation; unresolved disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of that member state.

For any questions about these Terms, contact us at privacy@devhunt.io.
