Code changes progress from review to a production releaseWhat shipped
New
- Homepage, rebuilt. The main search includes clickable examples that open matching vacancies. Separate candidate and employer views explain how DevHunt works, followed by a match breakdown, six core product features, and a relevant final action for each audience.
- Companies search & filters. The public companies directory got name search plus type, size, and domain filters — with a live results count.
- Contract employment type. Contract joined the employment options everywhere it matters: the vacancy form, candidate profiles, and both search filters.
- Full legal-page set. About, Terms & Conditions, DSA, Information Clause, GDPR, Whistleblowers, and a refreshed Privacy Policy — live in all four languages and readable without an account.
- Clickable cards. Vacancy, company, recruiter, and candidate cards are now clickable across their whole surface (middle-click and Ctrl-click open a new tab), while inner links keep their own behavior.
- Flag emojis in the language switcher — quicker to scan.
Improved
- Site-wide visual refresh. New font pairing, softer elevation-based cards, and cleaner light-theme surfaces — the first step of the design direction that landed fully in the next release.
- A new guest header and a four-column footer (candidates / employers / company links + socials).
- Static content pages are now included in the sitemap and served from a long-lived cache.
Fixed
- Chat: the "Leave conversation" button no longer looks like a log-out action, and message action menus stopped rendering "object Object" icons.
- Footers wrap correctly on narrow screens instead of overflowing.
- Relative timestamps ("2 hours ago") localize correctly in Ukrainian.
- Company search handles special characters in the query safely.
Under the hood
- Locale-to-language-tag mapping centralized into a single utility, so every date/number formatter localizes consistently.
- Another automated code-health batch: error-state coverage, retry actions, and safer query escaping.
