# **How to claim or remove a company profile on DevHunt**

If you represent a company that already has a profile on DevHunt, you can claim the profile and manage it yourself, or ask us to remove it.

## 1. Create a recruiter account

Only a representative of the company can claim its profile, and you need a DevHunt recruiter account to do so. If you do not have one yet, sign up through our [**recruiter registration**](https://devhunt.io/registration).

## 2. Send a claim request

Send a claim request through our [**contact form**](https://devhunt.io/contact-us?type=claim) and choose the company whose profile you want to claim. If you are creating a company and we already have a profile for its website, the company creation form offers to send the claim request right there.

## 3. Confirm that you represent the company

We verify every claim by hand. To help us confirm that you represent the company, either:

- write to us from an email address at your company's domain, or
- tell us that you can add a DNS TXT record that we give you to your company's domain.

We will contact you at your email address as soon as possible.

## 4. Manage your company profile

Once the check is complete, you are added as the owner of the company profile. You can then edit the profile, the vacancies on the profile become yours, and the company starts on the Free plan.

## Request removal of a company profile

If you would rather have the profile removed, send a removal request through our [**contact form**](https://devhunt.io/contact-us?type=takedown) and explain why the profile should be removed. If the information in the profile is simply wrong, you can instead claim the profile and correct it yourself.
